Sunsets from other worlds
While out exploring the world it can be easy to miss the bigger picture. To see a spectacular sunset is always special, it is something that makes everyone turn to the sky and it can completely change the feeling of a place you’re currently in.
AN AFTERNOON WALK
Spending the afternoon at the gorgeous Cow and Calf in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. All was well and good until we turned around and spotted this in the distance. The sight of rain added an atmosphere to the surrounding countryside and resulted in spectacular double rainbows, which I was not able to capture on my camera. However I can confirm this was a special afternoon for sunsets.
Focal Point
From nature to man made structures, anything caught in a sunset can become a focal point of the landscape. We often think of landscape photography as having to be of rolling fields or scenes within nature. This is not only in my opinion a damaging view on what landscape CAN be but it also acts as a way to limit the view of a lot of photographers. With some simply avoiding taking landscape shots that are not focused around a lush natural scene.
Otherworldly Jungle
A snapshot of a planet I recently visited in the andromeda galaxy, After battling my way through a hostile planet to capture a glimpse of the jungle canopy as the one of its 3 suns began to set behind it.
