The wanderings of a madman

Knaresborough

I can row a boat now… Kind of

So after 23 years living in Yorkshire I have finally been and visited Knaresborough thanks to Chloe and her ever persuasive charm I even took to the open waters and tried my hand at being a real life captain of a ‘ship’.

She tried to throw me overboard

Okay so maybe im not a captain of a ship but I certainly felt like I was. Our trip to knaresborough was relaxing and peaceful, exploring the town and soaking in some of the atmosphere and history. Although we didn’t have much time to do this as I was told I had to try my hand at rowing.

Despite my protests I ultimately lost the battle and took to the river. Being nervous around water is just something that is built into me, a fact made worse by Chloe rocking the boat and watching me slide along the floor to get back in my seat her laughs drowning out my fear. But I digress, my time in Knaresborough was short but indeed sweet even sweeter when considering the company.
